Welcome to today's Guided Prayer, where we invite you to find a quiet space to still your mind and body.
Guided Prayers are a daily 5–10 minute, intentionally created moment to slow down and meet with God—through scripture, reflection, and honest prayer.
It’s not a program you attend.
It’s a pathway you practice.
A guided space where people can stop, breathe, and connect with Jesus—every single day.
Listen to the words of the gospel writer John. In this world you will have trouble, but take heart, I have overcome the world. John 16, 33. We live in a world full of instability, political unrest, uncertainty, and fear. Yet Jesus promised us peace that cannot be shaken. His kingdom is steady, even when everything else shifts. Before we ask anything of the Lord today, let's start with praise and gratitude. Thank God for the first ten things that have come to your mind. Praise God for the first five things about him that come to your mind. Over the next two minutes, tell the Lord the things trying to steal your peace, then invite Jesus to bring his overcoming peace in the middle of those situations. Picture him taking it from you, placing his hand steady on your heart. Let the Holy Spirit guide your imagination as you visualize the Prince of Peace entering the space and situation that has been disrupting your peace. Ask on their behalf that God will guard their heart and mind with this perfect peace. We rest today in your victory and declare that no storm can shake the peace you have given us. Thank you for your words of comfort. That even though in this world we will have trouble, we can take heart because you have overcome the world. Breathe in and say, take heart. Breathe out and say, He has overcome. Amen.
