The Thursday before his death, Jesus shared the Last Supper with his disciples. Of all the priorities he could have chosen, he modeled humble service to his disciples. John 13, 5 says, He poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples' feet, drawing them with the towel that was wrapped around him. In his final moments, Jesus served, loved, and reminded his disciples they belonged with him. Take a moment to rest in the truth that in Christ you have belonging to thank God for welcoming you into His family and giving you a seat at the table. Take a few moments to ask God for help in receiving the love He has for you. You have put up a wall instead of receiving His free gift to you, Lord, teach us to love others as you have loved us.
