As we prepare our hearts to slow down and talk to God, say out loud if you can. God, I want to hear what you have to say to me today. Say it one more time. God, I want to hear what you have to say to me today. James's letter to the church in the New Testament is full of practical wisdom for living everyday life. This is what he has to say about growing a faith that endures. This is James 1, 3 and 4. Because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance, let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. Patience is faith stretched over time. Every test produces perseverance. And every delay builds spiritual maturity. Waiting is actually spiritual formation, growing faith and trust in God. For the next 30 seconds, let's take the words of James to heart today and start by thanking God for how he uses challenges to strengthen your faith and shape your character. God welcomes our raw honesty. Then ask him to give you endurance to stay steady until he moves. Ask God to fill them with endurance and peace.
