Welcome to today's Guided Prayer, where we invite you to find a quiet space to still your mind and body.
Guided Prayers are a daily 5–10 minute, intentionally created moment to slow down and meet with God—through scripture, reflection, and honest prayer.
It’s not a program you attend.
It’s a pathway you practice.
A guided space where people can stop, breathe, and connect with Jesus—every single day.
Have you ever woken up with your heart racing, your mind full, the feeling like there's not enough hours in the day, even before your feet hit the ground? Maybe this isn't you, or isn't you right now. But maybe there is an area of your life where you feel like your methods, your planning, your strategizing still aren't cutting it. Listen to the invitation of Jesus today. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Anxiety exhausts the soul. Striving and trying to control drains us. But Jesus invites you to rest, not by fixing everything, but by coming close to Him. Thank Jesus for inviting you into rest, for offering relief where you've been tense and tired. Next, tell him where your soul feels wary. Ask him to trade your anxious thoughts for his gentle rest. Or maybe you resonate with the picture of trying to control God, outcomes the future, and you need to pray and trade your human attempts at control for trust and rest in his goodness and sovereignty. We choose to come to you, God. Would you repeat that audibly if you can? I choose to come to you, God. I choose to come to you, God. I choose to come to you, God. Amen.
