There are moments in Scripture where we are given a glimpse of who God truly is. In Isaiah 6, the prophet Isaiah describes a vision of the Lord seated on his throne, high and exalted. Surrounding him are heavenly beings calling out to one another, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty. The whole earth is full of his glory. In that moment, Isaiah becomes deeply aware of the holiness of God. He recognizes that God is completely pure, completely perfect, and completely set apart. And in that same moment, Isaiah also becomes aware of his own need for God's mercy. Today we are going to pause and reflect on the holiness of God. Take a moment to quiet your heart and remember that the God we approach in prayer is holy. Take a moment to praise God for his holiness. Praise him that he is perfect in every way and worthy of all honor. Pray that they would come to see His holiness and His glory. Holy, holy, holy are you, Lord. You are worthy of all praise and honor. Your glory fills the earth. Thank you for allowing me to come before you. Amen.
