Welcome to today's Guided Prayer, where we invite you to find a quiet space to still your mind and body.
Guided Prayers are a daily 5–10 minute, intentionally created moment to slow down and meet with God—through scripture, reflection, and honest prayer.
It’s not a program you attend.
It’s a pathway you practice.
A guided space where people can stop, breathe, and connect with Jesus—every single day.
Contentment is difficult in a world constantly telling you that you need more, more success, more recognition, more certainty, or more control. It's easy for your heart to begin chasing what was never meant to satisfy you. But Paul writes from experience that contentment is something learned, not something automatically felt. In Philippians 4, 11 through 12, it says, I have learned to be content, whatever the circumstances. And that kind of peace is only found in Jesus. Before we move forward, take a few moments to thank God for the ways he has already cared for you. Reflect on his faithfulness in both abundant seasons and difficult ones. Take 60 seconds to sit and quietly reflect. Notice where your heart feels restless or dissatisfied right now. Maybe there's an area where you've been comparing, striving, or waiting for something to finally make you feel secure. Bring that honesty before Jesus and ask him to teach you contentment that isn't dependent on outcomes. Ask him to become enough for you in this season. Allow the pressure to loosen as you rest in God's presence. If resting in Jesus becomes a priority for you today, how will that affect the way you approach your day? Father, thank you that true contentment is found in you. Teach our hearts to rest in your sufficiency. Amen.
